Meet Bonnie, #YUJgirl
A brief overview
Can you introduce yourself ? I am from Nice, and mother of a 2 year old little girl. I am passionate about yoga and have always loved fashion. I think that combining your practice with style can bring a touch of sparkle and make some (and some) want to know this beautiful practice that is yoga.
When and how did this passion for yoga come to you? I have been practicing for a dozen years and from the start I was very touched by this philosophy. And over the years, my own practice adapts and evolves according to my needs and moments of life.
What does this represent in your daily life? Since I have a completely different professional life on a daily basis, and also teach in my free time, as a yoga instructor, it represents a bubble of well-being and serenity in very active days.
Tell us about BOYOGA I created Boyoga about a year ago because I wanted to share my passion and why not live it to the full one day. I offer a dynamic yoga practice based on Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. In addition, having practiced myself during my pregnancy, I wanted to share this with future mothers with prenatal yoga. This practice makes it possible to offer physical activity and mental preparation that are truly beneficial for pregnant women. It's a moment of well-being between yourself and your little baby in the making.
What is your favorite country so far? Two trips to the West Coast of the United States, truly magnificent, a diversity of landscapes that are to die for. Nature in a gigantic version!
Good addresses to share? In San Francisco: Grace Cathedral 1100 California St, San Francisco, CA 94108, United States in which once a week a yoga session is offered for which everyone can make a donation. A great idea and a magical moment!
For you, "the place to be" is it? Where you need to be according to your aspirations. For me, it's where the ones I love are and under the sun of course;)
In the cinema, which actors/directors make you dream? I really like Kate Winslet for her very natural and frank side. Woody Allen's films are always good times, as well as those of Tarantino for the slightly crazy and fun side!
A quote that defines you? "The will is the mother of wisdom" quote from Edward Young; The Nights (1742)
What does a day in the life of Bonnie AOUN look like? A little morning yoga practice before taking care of preparing my daughter and having breakfast with the family, then heading to the nanny, and to work. A few breaths. Lunch break: either a yoga class to give, or a lunch with friends before returning to work. And a few breaths. Late afternoon, either a yoga class to give or direction to the nanny and second day which begins with my daughter, bath, games, dinner, story and sleep. How about a little meditation. And a well-deserved sleep. The whirlwind of life what...
